Last night, to a packed standing room only crowd, the Clarksville Town Council introduced a new comprehensive overhaul to all Town Zoning Ordinances. Included was a new section that created a specific new Adult Business District for the town. While ROCK had been told that their representative and others could speak, the council did not allow any comment before they unanimously passed the new ordinance. After passage, ROCK President MaryAnn Gramig was allowed to briefly address the council. ROCK's review of the ordinance had raised some troubling questions but Mrs. Gramig thanked the council for taking a step in the right direction before raising any concerns. Concerns include:

In April of this year, the Kentucky Supreme Court upheld the constitutionality of Louisville Metro's 2004 adult business ordinance. That opinion was immediately challenged by the local sex industry by a Petition requesting the Court hear the case again. Yesterday, Chief Justice John D. Minton, Jr. denied the request with all justices concurring that arguments presented in the petition were not valid.
ROCK President Bryan Wickens stated: Once again the Kentucky Supreme Court has upheld a local government's right to regulate against the negative secondary effects of sex businesses for the protection of the community and its citizens. We owe a big thank you to Metro Council members who stayed the course and we know will continue to do so in the weeks and months ahead. This is the model of good government at work - citizens get engaged and stand with public officials who are doing the right thing - that is when positive change can happen! We are seeing it at ROCK time and time again. ROCK is proud to have been a part of this important process making sure citizens' voices were heard every step of the way!"

After a nearly 5 year long court battle, The Lion's Den, a sex business located in Uniontown, Indiana (40 miles north of Louisville, KY), was ordered to close its doors after Jackson County Superior Court Special Judge Stephen Heiman ruled the business failed to obtain a proper permit to legally operate a sexually oriented business and was in violation of other provisions of the 2005 Jackson County ordinance.

This is the 2nd application that been denied for an "In God We Trust plate"; ROCK’s application was denied in 2008.
