ROCK Cares is thrilled to announce that the "In God We Trust" specialty license plate for Kentucky is now available!

The funds raised by this specialty plate will go to victim assistance programs for exploited women and children, as well as education regarding dangers associated with pornography and the sexually-oriented business industry on communities, families and individuals.

To get the ROCK Cares "In God We Trust" license plate:

1. Take your current plate into your local county clerk's office.
2. Tell them you want the ROCK Cares "In God We Trust" special license  plate.
3. Put the new plate on your car!

If you submitted an application with a $25 deposit, the state is mailing a postcard voucher on Jan. 16th that you can redeem at the county clerk's office. If you have misplaced your postcard voucher or never received one, but still live in the same county, the county clerk's office should have a master list of the original applicants. If you have moved into a new county, please contact the ROCK Cares office at (502) 297-9841.

ROCK Cares is thrilled to announce that the "In God We Trust" specialty license plate for Kentucky will be available in early 2013!

Since July 5, 2011, ROCK Cares has been working to collect the necessary 900 applications required by the state to put this plate into production. We celebrated each application!

Thank you for your help in bringing this "In God We Trust" license plate to our state! Many of you submitted applications, contacted friends and family, worked special events and donated money to see this project to its completion. We appreciate you!

On September 5, 2012, ROCK Cares delivered 900 applications and a $22,500 check to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet. This plate will be available to everyone at local county clerk's offices in early 2013.

If you submitted an application with a $25 deposit, the state will send you a postcard voucher this fall that you can redeem at the county clerk's office.

Funds raised by this plate will benefit women and children

Subway doors slammed shut just in time to save her

NEW YORK (New York Times) - Off the platform at the first station on the downtown No. 4 line is an office for subway employees, with cubbies for their bags, bulletin boards, video monitors and a break room. The conductor arrived for her late shift at 1:20 a.m. and signed in. Fifteen minutes later, her work began. She greeted the train operator - they are no longer known as motormen - in the first car before taking her place in the booth in the sixth, in the middle of the train. It left the terminal to begin its long journey through the Bronx and Manhattan to Brooklyn.
